About ZapOne

Power for the moment you need it

ZapOne started with a simple problem every South African knows: your phone dies at exactly the wrong time, and there's no plug in sight.

Built here, for here

Our phones carry our tickets, our banking, our lift home and our way to call for help. Power banks are great until you forget to charge them. Wall plugs are great until the power's out or you're standing in a field at a festival.

So we made ZapOne: a small charger that arrives full, waits in your bag for as long as it needs to, and gives your phone a real boost the moment you plug it in. No cable, no wall socket, no planning ahead.

ZapOne is designed and distributed by Voltaq (Pty) Ltd, a South African company based in Roodepoort, Gauteng. You'll find us at events, in convenience stores, and right here online.

Recycling

One charge. Then it comes back around.

A single-use charger only makes sense if it doesn't end up in a landfill. Every ZapOne is 100% recyclable at e-waste points, and recycling one takes less time than charging your phone.

1

Keep it out of the bin

Batteries in household rubbish can spark fires in bin trucks and at landfill sites. Set your used ZapOne aside instead.

2

Drop it at an e-waste point

Many shopping centres, electronics retailers and municipal drop-off sites collect small e-waste. Bring a few used units at once if you can.

3

The parts get a second life

Recyclers separate the battery cell, circuit board, shell and metal connector so the materials can be recovered and used again.
